If you are a full-time or part-time student of Solstice Hybrid Academy, another microschool, or individual homeschool student, you are invited to join us for our daily enrichment activities. We’ll be exploring different places each day and engaging in different activities that focus on STEAM. Solstice Hybrid Academy offers students the opportunity to learn in a way that connects classroom learning to real life experiences. This is a more organic way of learning that really resonates with our students and inspires them to want to learn more. All enrichment activities are included in Full-time and part-time tuition, and all homeschool students that join us can select different packages and dates they would like to attend. This is a great chance for our students to socialize and share with our community.
Enrichment Activities
Enrichment activities occur during the afternoon between 12:30pm- 2:30pm. We are working with several organizations within Norfolk to plan homeschool enrichment activities. We are working with the Zoo, Virginia Stage company, Chrysler Museum of Art, Electrified Marina, Elizabeth River Trail foundation, and more. We are planning to incorporate a lot of community services into our curriculum. Once each week, we will have a Field trip Destination that is focused on giving back to our community. Our students will help with trail conservation at Weyanoke Bird Sanctuary, Trail maintenance for the Elizabeth River Trail Foundation, Farm volunteer, Food Pantry, Food Kitchen, and many more.
